Hi! My name is Evan. I am an art director, a strategist, a designer, a photographer, a videographer, a Latino and most importantly – a storyteller.
Details. There are two common reactions to details: a receptive appreciation or an impatient distaste. I am wholeheartedly representative of the former.
Due to my mother being blind in one eye and the driving laws in Florida, we would bike to most places in town when I was growing up. The running joke in my family is that I am her “eyes” when we are out and about. As a child, having the responsibility to read signs and tell her where we were at all times caused me to really appreciate the world, the ability to see, and the intricate subtleties of everyday life. My younger sister has Down syndrome and taught me two important lessons: how to be patient and that it is possible to say one thing in fifty different ways. This has helped me immensely in brainstorming sessions and being able to work/communicate with all types of people. This admiration of visuals paired with my love of conversing with others is the root of everything I am passionate about.
My love for detail is apparent in every photo I take and every video I shoot. I speak loudly and enthusiastically with great detail to help form a clear mental picture for whatever story I am telling. I truly enjoy learning about the details of every person I meet and what makes him or her tick. Brainstorming, conceptualizing, creating content and collaborating with others makes me feel incredibly fulfilled.
I want to take my wide array of skills and bring ideas to life as an art director.
